Jose Tomas GOMEZ ARIAS
Jose Tomas Gomez Arias is Transamerica Associate Professor of Marketing at St. Mary's College of California, US. He was Associate Professor of Marketing at the Graduate Business Programs, St. Mary's College in 2005-2007. He has taught at the Santa Clara University and California State University, Hayward. Prior to that, Dr Gomez Arias served as Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of A Coruna in his native country, Spain, from 1996 to 2003. He is also a partner and founder at Ivvid Consulting, which provides consultancy in marketing and international business. From 1997 to 2002, he was the Chief Trade Officer at the Consulate General of Spain in Hong Kong, conducting economic research on Hong Kong and China.
Dr Gomez Arias' areas of teaching and research interests are in international business, international marketing, new products and services, export management, marketing research, marketing strategy, relationship marketing, brand equity, competitive strategy and the economies of Greater China. He is the author of articles published in the European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Management Decision and Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, among other publications. Dr Gomez Arias holds a PhD in Business Science from the University of Leon, Spain and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University, New York.
