Sabam HUTAJULU

Sabam Hutajulu joined Pertamina, Indonesia's state-owned oil & gas company, as an accountant in 1990. His current position at Pertamina is Senior Manager, Treasury, at Pertamina Energy Services Ltd Singapore, a Pertamina subsidiary. Prior to his promotion, he was Bureau Head of Financial Internal Control at the company's head office in Jakarta. Before joining Pertamina, Dr Hutajulu was active as auditor with BPKP, Indonesian Government Internal Auditor. He has been teaching MBA courses at Master of Management programmes at the University of Indonesia, Gadjahmada University, and Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) Veteran in Jakarta.

Dr Hutajulu earned his Master and PhD in Financial Accounting and Corporate Disclosure from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. His teaching and research interests include financial accounting and reporting, corporate disclosures, accounting regulation, agency theory, and international accounting and practices. Dr Hutajulu was active as a member of the American Accounting Association, and is a member of the Indonesian Accounting Association (IAI).
